WAEL RASHED – FOUNDER & MANAGING PARTNER
Prior to founding Xenia Hospitality, Wael Rashed was the interim CEO for Meeting Point Hotels, a subsidiary of the German FTI Group. He was also the CEO of Meeting Point Hotels Egypt & Oman since 2017, overseeing portfolio development, hospitality investment strategies and commercial growth. He previously also held the position of General Manager for Le Meridien Seychelles and Area Head of Sales & Marketing for the Gulf Region, overseeing 20+ hotels with five significant brands.
With a hospitality experience that spans over 20+ years with ITT Sheraton/Starwood Hotels & Resorts in several countries in Africa and the Middle East, Rashed held commercial area and property leadership roles in various brands including Luxury Collection, Sheraton, Le Meridien and the Iconic W Brand, where he was a member of the Elite Executive Team that won an array of awards for outstanding achievements.

With “President Award” and “Best Director of Sales & Marketing for over 50 properties in Africa, Middle East and India” awards on top of her track record, Sahar earned a number of hospitality certifications from Cornell University, the American University, INSEAD-Senior Management Program at Fontainebleau, Six Sigma, TQM (Total Quality Management)
