Prior to founding Xenia Hospitality, Wael Rashed was the interim CEO for Meeting Point Hotels, a subsidiary of the German FTI Group. He was also the CEO of Meeting Point Hotels Egypt & Oman since 2017, overseeing portfolio development, hospitality investment strategies and commercial growth. He previously also held the position of General Manager for Le Meridien Seychelles and Area Head of Sales & Marketing for the Gulf Region, overseeing 20+ hotels with five significant brands.
With a hospitality experience that spans over 20+ years with ITT Sheraton/Starwood Hotels & Resorts in several countries in Africa and the Middle East, Rashed held commercial area and property leadership roles in various brands including Luxury Collection, Sheraton, Le Meridien and the Iconic W Brand, where he was a member of the Elite Executive Team that won an array of awards for outstanding achievements.

My extensive experience spans over nearly four decades, with a proven track record of driving successful projects and delivering exceptional results.
I am a Founding Partner of Xenia Hospitality, a leading consulting and management firm specializing in the hospitality industry. In addition to my role at Xenia, I also serve as a Hospitality Consultant for El Rabwa Group, where I successfully initiated and managed the acquisition of a hotel management company for both a 300-room Sheraton hotel as well as a 200-unit Sheraton branded residence.
The afore mentioned coupled with my expertise in sales, marketing, and operations, has solidified my reputation as a trusted partner in the industry. Having worked with renowned brands like Starwood and Fairmont, I bring a wealth of knowledge and strategic insights to every project.
I have a plethora of understanding and expertise in hotel management, which has been enriched over the years with an expansive amount of industry related educational courses and programs as well as certificates from various industry and management institutions, including Cornell University, American University in Cairo, INSEAD Senior Management Program at Fontainebleau, Six Sigma, and TQM (Total Quality Management). I also earned several achievement and recognition awards with Starwood, including the President Award.
